Medical University of Lublin Student Becomes International Regional 2 Director of American Medical Student Association

Carlos Quinonez, third year medical student at the Medical University of Lublin, will begin serving his term as International Regional 2 Director of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) on May 1, 2016. Quinonez was elected for the position during the AMSA National Convention, which took place this year in Washington D.C.

The position of Regional Director is one of the most vital in National AMSA. The Regional Directors are elected by the chapters in their respective regions. Quinonez will be serving as Regional Director in region 2, which comprises a total of 33 chapters in the Americas, Asia, Africa, Australia and Europe.

Quinonez currently serves as president of the AMSA chapter at the Medical University of Lublin. The AMSA Lublin chapter is currently among the three top chapters in region 2, and it is the largest chapter in Poland.
